Spinning glass

So I've been spinning,but not wool! GLASS that is! It has been a big change for me after 20 some years of working with fiber. I'm not sure how it will all come together but I am enjoying the process.

What fun, what magic...
These two are heading off to the sea.
First the image is created in the mind and then trafered into wire.
The wire is then covered with wool, shaped and re-shaped until it pleases me.

Recently a good friends son took his life. How in the face of tragedy I am reminded that things are a fleeting sense of happiness and the friendships, the loves, the moments of laughter are where the true sense of joy is realized
